A go/no-go task asks you to respond to one kind of signal and withhold your response to another. It explores response inhibition: interrupting an action you were ready to make.
In this game you will see 18 circles and 6 crosses, mixed across 24 cues. A circle calls for a response; a cross calls for a pause. Each cue accepts one response, including the short blank interval that follows it.
It is a task with two signals: one asks you to act and the other asks you to hold back. This browser version uses circles for go and crosses for no-go.
A false start is a response during a cross cue. A miss is a circle cue you did not respond to. Accuracy includes both responding correctly to circles and correctly ignoring crosses.
We pause when the page becomes hidden so an interruption does not count as a missed cue. Resume replays the current cue.
